Abstract:

In this paper, He’s variational iteration method (VIM) is used to obtain approximate analytical solutions of the Abelian differential equation. This method is based on Lagrange multipliers for identification of optimal values of parameters in a functional. Using this method creates a sequence which tends to the exact solution of problem. The method is capable of reducing the size of calculation and easily overcomes the difficulty of the perturbation technique or Adomian polynomials. The results reveal that VIM is very effective and simple.

Applying He’s Variational Iteration Method for Solving Differential-Difference Equation

We extend He’s variational iteration method VIM to find the approximate solutions for nonlinear differential-difference equation. Simple but typical examples are applied to illustrate the validity and great potential of the generalized variational iteration method in solving nonlinear differentialdifference equation. The results reveal that the method is very effective and simple. We find the e...

He’s Variational Iteration Method for Solving Fractional Riccati Differential Equation

We will consider He’s variational iteration method for solving fractional Riccati differential equation. This method is based on the use of Lagrange multipliers for identification of optimal value of a parameter in a functional. This technique provides a sequence of functions which converges to the exact solution of the problem. The present method performs extremely well in terms of efficiency ...

Application of differential transformation method to the fisher equation.

In this paper, the dierential transform method (DTM) is applied to the Fisherequation. This method can be used to obtain the exact solutions of Fisherequation. Finally, we give some examples to illustrate the suciency of themethod for solving such nonlinear partial dierential equations. These resultsshow that this technique is easy to apply.

APPLICATION OF He’s VARIATIONAL ITERATION METHOD AND ADOMIAN’S DECOMPOSITION METHOD TO PROCHHAMMER CHREE EQUATION

The model for α = 1, β = 1/(m + 1) and γ = 0 was studied by Bagolubasky and Clarkson et al. A second model for α = 0, β = −(1/2) and γ = 0 was studied by Parker and solitary wave solutions were obtained as well. However, a third model was investigated in Refs. 10 and 11 for m = 1 and m = 2 where explicit solitary wave solutions and kinks solutions were derived. For m ≥ 1, we get consecutive exp...

Convergence of the multistage variational iteration method for solving a general system of ordinary differential equations

In this paper, the multistage variational iteration method is implemented to solve a general form of the system of first-order differential equations. The convergence of the proposed method is given. To illustrate the proposed method, it is applied to a model for HIV infection of CD4+ T cells and the numerical results are compared with those of a recently proposed method.
